Safeguarding
Report a Safeguarding Incident or Concern
Nottingham Playhouse believes that no-one should have to experience abuse of any kind. When it comes to children (0-18) and vulnerable adults, we have a responsibility to promote their welfare and to ensure our practices as an organisation prioritise their safety.
Every child and vulnerable adult we work with should feel safe, valued and respected with their views and concerns listened to.
All employees, freelancers, participants, audience members and other visitors to Nottingham Playhouse, or to our activities that take place outside Nottingham Playhouse, should use this form to report incidents that they have experienced, witnessed or been told about, or to report other concerns around safeguarding they may have.
Once a report is submitted, the relevant Nottingham Playhouse Designated Safeguarding Officer(s) and Designated Safeguarding Lead will review the information provided within 48 hours and take appropriate action as required. This may also involve escalating information to / seeking advice from our Designated Trustee Lead for Safeguarding, and external contacts and agencies as necessary, including:
- Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO)
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
- Relevant schools / community groups
- Charities incl. NSPCC, Childline
