Making a Purchase

All tickets, merchandise and other items available to purchase on this website are subject to availability.

Nottingham Playhouse reserves the right to change prices, for example introduce discounts, without prior notification. Offers or discounts will not be applied to previously purchased tickets or other items.

Please check the date and time of your booking(s) carefully as mistakes cannot always be rectified.

All information is correct at the time of purchase. Occasionally it is necessary to make changes to performances, for example a change of artist or the start time or date of an event. Nottingham Playhouse reserves the right to make these changes without prior notification or obligation to refund monies or exchange tickets. We will make every endeavour to contact customers in advance to advise of any changes.

Some productions may not be suitable for children or may contain material which could cause offence. Specific age and content advisory information is included on the event webpage and our Triggers and Advisories page.

Concessions, Discounts and Offers

A range of concessions, discounts and offers is available and varies from event to event. Specific information on the ticket prices available are shown on the event webpage and our Ticket Savings page. You can find information about schools and groups discounts here. If you have purchased tickets at the student rate you will need to show your NUS card, along with your ticket, on arrival at the theatre.

Entry For Babies – baby seats are £2 for all children under the age of 1 so parents can enjoy coming to the theatre. Please note, this does not apply to those productions which are designed for young children aged 0+ where standard ticket prices apply. Some restrictions may apply to specific performances; please see the show webpage for details. The baby seats service is free to Playhouse Pass members.

Exchanges and Refunds

Unless the event you have booked for has been directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic – if the show has been postponed or cancelled or you are self-isolating – tickets are non-refundable. We can swap your tickets to a different performance of a Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company production provided you contact us at least 24 hours in advance of the first performance. This service is offered at a rate of £2 per ticket and free of charge to Playhouse Pass members. If the value of the new tickets is higher than the original tickets the difference must be paid, however no refunds will be given if you choose tickets of a lesser value. Tickets may not be exchanged between different productions.

Events directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic are eligible for exchange and refund, and our Box Office team will be in touch with you by email or phone with information specific to your booking. Please note that, where a customer opts to keep their tickets for a future date, this is considered as a firm booking and is subject to our usual terms and conditions. Tickets must not be resold. This includes the resale of tickets for profit, in which circumstances Nottingham Playhouse reserves the right to cancel the booking or refuse admission without notice and without being obliged to refund monies. We are able resell your tickets once a performance is sold out. This service is offered at a rate of £2 per ticket and free of charge to Playhouse Pass members.

Seat Allocation

Occasionally it may be necessary to change a customer’s seat allocation. Nottingham Playhouse reserves the right to make these changes without prior notification or obligation to refund monies or exchange tickets. We will make every endeavour to contact customers in advance to advise of any changes at the earliest opportunity.

Attending an Event

Nottingham Playhouse reserves the right to refuse admission to any ticket holder to ensure the comfort and safety of our staff and audiences.

Latecomers will be admitted at the discretion of the Duty Manager at a suitable point in the performance. Please note, some performances have a strict no latecomers policy and we are unable to refund ticket purchases if you miss the performance start time.

Photography, video and sound recording of performances is strictly forbidden. Anyone found to be recording a performance may be asked to leave.

The use of mobile phones is not permitted during performances.

We are working hard to ensure that your theatregoing experience is as COVID-safe and as comfortable as possible. You will find specific information about the measures we’re implementing for forthcoming shows and workshops on the relevant event webpage. Before you attend, we will also email further information to you, including instructions on what you should do if you, or a member of your party, become unwell in the 14 days before or after the date of the event. We are pleased to be an approved member of the Society of London Theatre/UK Theatre’s See It Safely scheme.

Playhouse Pass and Consumer Contracts Regulations

Playhouse Pass memberships are subject to the Consumer Contracts Regulations’ 14-day cooling off period from the date of purchase, providing no part has already been used. Event ticket purchases are exempt from this regulation.
