Our Story
“Honestly, the final few minutes of the first act were some of the most captivating, powerful and heart wrenching I've seen on stage. Incredible!”Sky Mirror

You may have spotted this stunning sculpture by Anish Kapoor outside our building. Six metres in diameter and weighing more than 10 tonnes, the Sky Mirror was installed in 2001 and transformed the entrance to our building. It is a fantastic tourist attraction for the city and, whilst our building and the Sky Mirror each have their own identity, both are part of the creative experience that Nottingham Playhouse delivers.
“Nottingham Playhouse has a very special place in my heart. At the age of 16, my school placed me at the theatre for my work experience... Without [them], I wouldn't have the career I do now. ”Recent Productions
