The answers we are often looking for are waiting on the other side of discomfort, challenging norms and old stories from the past.

Show Description

One Foot in the Dark is an exploration of our known and unknown experiences of identity, culture and change through text and movement.

It comprises a double bill of a solo The Skeleton is White and duet Six Degrees from Home, both honest explorations of two artists understanding what it means to navigate through life, questions and unknowns.

Six Degrees

This performance, featuring writer and performer Saili Katebe, combines movement and spoken word to explore the making and breaking of borders through our bodies.

A poet-in-residence aboard the SS Great Britain in 2019 as part of the Iron Island project, Saili has performed on stages across the UK, with work featured on BBC Arts and BBC Radio Bristol.

The Skeleton is White

Divija Melally’s Indian classical dance and physical theatre piece, The Skeleton is White, choreographically explores the body’s physical metamorphosis in response to ethnicity and environment, inviting us to listen to our bodies.
