Our Modern 750-seat main auditorium is at the heart of our theatre and its curves create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, as well as giving a clear view of the stage.

Depending on the style of the production, some seats offer a view that works better with the design of the show.

For Nottingham Playhouse Productions and some other shows, we split our auditorium into different price bands with a range of prices based on where we feel the optimum viewing experience will be. For some productions there may be a small number of seats with a partially restricted view which we offer at a reduced price.

Our ticket prices are subject to change as the theatre fills and by booking early you can secure the best seats at the best price.

We love having the front of the auditorium full for every show. We believe there should be accessible priced tickets for all and that’s why you’ll find the lowest priced seats at Stalls level, in the front half of the auditorium.

To ensure the best experience for our audiences and actors, some seats are not offered for sale until seats towards the front of the theatre are sold. If you have any specific access requirements, please do contact our friendly Box Office team on 0115 941 9419 who’ll be happy to help.

Booking Fees

Until recently we, as an organisation, have been covering our own booking costs which are the costs of running our ticketing system.

As an arts charity, supported by external funding, sponsorship and donations, we try to keep ticket costs as accessible as possible. Unfortunately, like many organisations, we’re facing increasing costs of running our building, alongside proposed cuts to our funding from Nottingham City Council. This means that we have introduced a new fee of £2.50 per transaction to help us cover our costs.

The fee is waived in many cases, including for Patrons, Playhouse Pass, Youth Pass, Amplify and Business Club members. It will only be charged on events with a top standard ticket price of £12 or more. It will not apply to discounted tickets for schools and youth groups, HotHouse and Pay What You Can tickets. It will also be waived for our participation and outreach activity.
