Ken Godfrey’s Central Jazz Band is a traditional jazz ensemble performing at venues like the Risley Park Jazz Club, featuring experienced musicians specialising in classic jazz styles.

They are regarded in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire jazz scene for their authentic approach to traditional jazz, making them a notable ensemble for enthusiasts of classic jazz music. The band dates back to the 1960s and were originally called ‘The Great Central Jazz Band’ after the Loughborough based ‘Great Central Steam Railway’ .
