Each year the National Theatre commissions new plays for young people to perform, bringing together some of the UK’s most exciting writers with the performers of tomorrow.

Auditions for Nottingham Playhouse Connections Company are now open. The deadline to apply is Monday 2 November. Applications may close early if we fill all audition slots.  

Are you an actor aged 13-19 and interested in being part of Nottingham Playhouse Connections Company? 

National Theatre Connections work with professional arts organisations across the UK, with each venue hosting their own festival during the Spring. Nottingham Playhouse will be hosting their festival on 13-15 April 2027. 

We have our very own Connections Company, who will be part of the festival and perform on the Main Stage at Nottingham Playhouse.  

Rehearsals will take place on Wednesday evenings, with occasional Saturdays and school holidays (final dates confirmed in application). Nottingham Playhouse Connections Company is a FREE programme, but places are subject to auditions. Commitment to rehearsals and performances is essential.
