Club Encore is a group of like-minded individuals who have been coming together for many years to support Nottingham Playhouse and learn more about theatre through its world-class productions. 

Club Encore is a relaxed and welcoming group that meets on the second Tuesday of the month. In sessions we learn more about what goes on day to day in a producing theatre like Nottingham Playhouse. Over the course of a year we will meet performers and creatives on Nottingham Playhouse productions, industry professionals working in our theatre, undertake some practical activities, visit behind the scenes areas of our building and understand our charitable aims for today and the future. 

These sessions are the perfect place to meet like-minded individuals with a passion for theatre and for never stopping learning, and there’s even a break in the middle for a cuppa and a biscuit! 

Our dates this year are: 

  • 08/09/26 Q&A session with cast or creatives from Till the Stars Come Down + The history of improv delivered by the Robin Hood Improv Festival. 
  • 13/10/26 An interactive session led by Robin Hood Improv Festival’s Naomi Murden. 
  • 10/11/26 TBC. 
  • 08/12/26 *13.00 – 15.00* Q&A session with cast including John Elkington from Aladdin, Nottingham Playhouse’s famous pantomime + our annual Christmas Quiz and fuddle.  
  • 12/01/27 A longer form improv session led by Robin Hood Improv Festival based upon our session in October. 
  • 09/02/27 A visit to Nottingham Playhouse’s new Workshop, which hosts our Scenic Art, Props and Construction departments. Address: Nottingham Playhouse Workshops, 15 Little Tennis Street, Nottingham NG2 4EL.
