Company Stage Manager

We are seeking a Company Stage Manager to join the team on DEAR EVAN HANSEN, in rehearsals and during the run at Nottingham Playhouse.

Your duties and responsibilities will be those normally expected of a Company Stage Manager of a first-class musical. Applicants must have experience on a large-scale musical in a similar role.  

The successful candidate must be available for all rehearsals, technical rehearsals and performances at Nottingham Playhouse in line with the production schedule as below. A touring CM/SM team will take over for the UK Tour.

The start date will be week commencing 29 July or 5 August 2024, depending on applicant availability. The final performance at Nottingham Playhouse is on 28 September 2024.

Dates:

  • w/c Mon 29 July 2024 – Week 0 Rehearsals (principals only – music learning) – London
  • w/c Mon 5 August 2024 – Week 1 Rehearsals – full company rehearsals begin in Nottingham
  • w/c Mon 12 August 2024 – Week 2 Rehearsals
  • w/c Mon 19 August 2024 – Week 3 Rehearsals
  • w/c Mon 26 August 2024 – Week 4 Rehearsals / Band Calls
  • w/c Mon 2 September 2024 – Tech Week (Nottingham Playhouse)
  • Mon 9 September 2024 – First Preview (Nottingham Playhouse)
  • Sat 14 September 2024 – Lock Show
  • Tues 17 September 2024 – Press Night
  • Sat 28 September 2024 – Final Performance at Nottingham Playhouse

Fees:

  1. Contracted on a UKT/Equity sub rep MRSL 1 contract.
  2. Weekly Salary: £720, including a buyout for overtime. Any part weeks work shall be paid pro rata.
  3. Weekly Relocation Allowance: £225 (for any weeks more than 25 miles from base)
  4. Travel: Single standard-class travel shall be from base to venue at the start and end of the contract.
  5. The CSM will be responsible for booking their own travel and accommodation. Digs list provided for Nottingham.
  6. Dates: CSM responsibilities from the start of Week 0 in London (Mon 29 July 2024) until the final performance at Nottingham Playhouse on Sat 28 September 2024. ATG will arrange appropriate handover period with touring CM & SM team before the end of the run at Nottingham.
  7. Holiday Pay / Pension etc. paid additionally where applicable.
