The Amplify programme is here to support local artists
We know that the Midlands – both East and West, is full of talented theatre-makers and we want Nottingham Playhouse to be a hub for artists.
Whether you’re fresh out of education, early in your career, or someone who has been making professional work for several years, we want to be there for you. We are committed to developing a network where ideas can be shared, challenged and grown.
Throughout the year, we create opportunities and host events to help professional artists develop skills, showcase work and connect with other artists. These include our quarterly AMPLIFY:SEASONS events, scratch nights, networking events, masterclasses, co-working opportunities and one to one mentoring and guidance sessions.

A supportive atmosphere, created by actors, for actors, to talk about the industry, check in with each other, and add to their acting toolkit. This is a self-sufficient collective, supported by Nottingham Playhouse.

The Amplify Podcast
The Amplify Podcast is a new strand in our Nottingham Playcast series. Our Amplify Producer Craig Gilbert has been holed up in his makeshift bedroom studio talking to a host of artists of national and international renown. These conversations cover career and process as well as offering a few ideas to explore from home during this time of social distancing.
