You are invited to a work-in-progress performance sharing of scenes from RADCLIFFE, a powerful play of bold new writing, inspired by the 1922 nursing strike at Radcliffe Mental Hospital.
Do you have lived experience of the mental health care system?
Join us for a work-in-progress performance. Stay for a post-show discussion to share your thoughts on the work.
How far have we come since the 1920s, and what have we lost along the way?
‘Set within the confines of a solitary ward, the story follows two seemingly opposite women—a nurse and a patient—thrown together under suicide watch. As events unfold, boundaries fracture, revealing shared experiences of class oppression, gendered control, and grinding poverty, as they ally in the collective fight for agency, identity, and autonomy against institutional control.’
