Her original music is a mix of Neo Soul and Spoken word. She also performs Jazz regularly at Jazz cubs in Nottingham. From Songbird, you can expect deep, sultry, tenor vocals with resounding harmonies, performed over acoustic sounds from her fantastic band members. Her spoken word elements showcase her clear, powerful voice as she talks about all things self-love, self-worth, relationships and her experience of being a black woman in this world.
Her original music influences are India Arie, Tracy Chapman, and Jacob Banks whilst her jazz influences are vocal powerhouses like Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin and Samara Joy. Maya Angelou will always be her inspiration re poetry.
