Movement in Theatre Workshop
Sat 9 Nov 2024Co-facilitated by Sarita Piotrowski & Iskandar R. Sharazuddin, award-winning movement directors & choreographers working across theatre, film, and opera. Sarita is the movement director of A Raisin in the Sun and Iskandar is the Associate at Headlong Theatre Ltd. and Associate Director of My Neighbour Totoro (RSC / West End). These two practitioners will take participants through a process of integrating movement into the rehearsal room exploring physical dramaturgies, the role of the movement director in a text-based process, and how to build movement from a place of animating gesture. A wide ranging look at movement in contemporary theatre-making.
