Gareth Malone is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Music where he studied with Janice Chapman and Jonathan Papp. He was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of East Anglia and Freedom of the City of London in 2010. In 2012 he was made OBE in the Queen's birthday honours for services to music.
Gareth Malone – the man who got the nation singing – is back on tour this autumn with Sing-A-Long-A-Gareth: At The Movies, a brand-new live show celebrating the unforgettable songs that have made movie moments magical.
Following the success of his previous singalong tours, Gareth invites audiences on a joyful journey through some of cinema’s most iconic music. Backed by his live band, singers and local choirs, he’ll lead audiences through beloved songs from films including Singin’ in the Rain, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Top Gun, La La Land, Frozen, Moana and more.
Known for inspiring choirs across the UK through award-winning television series including The Choir, The Choir: Military Wives and Sing While You Work, Gareth has spent decades bringing people together through the power of singing.
