Online Booking for Accessible Seats
You can now add selected access requirements to your account so that you can book suitable seats for your needs online.
Check out the options below to see how you can book seats to main stage productions that are suitable for your access needs through our website.
You can still book through our Box Office if you would prefer this, by calling 0115 941 9419 or visiting in person. Our Box Office is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 6pm (8pm when there is a performance). You can contact Box Office with enquiries about access at access@nottinghamplayhouse.co.uk (please note we cannot take bookings by email).
The options below are not the only access requirements that we can accommodate. For requirements that are not listed and wheelchairs that are larger than the dimensions below, please contact Box Office to book your tickets.
If you’re booking for a group where multiple people have access requirements, we advise contacting Box Office to book. If you’d like to book for a group of five or more people, please contact Box Office to book.
Online access bookings are only available for main stage performances (for productions in the Neville Studio or Wellington Circus, please contact Box Office).
Updating Your Account
You can add your access requirements to your account by filling in the form below.
If you wish to change or update these in the future, you can enter your details into this form again (please ensure you enter the same personal details as your original account), you can head to the account section of the website and choose the ‘Other Preferences’ section on the dropdown menu, or you can contact Box Office.
These options are not the only access requirements that we cater for. For any other requirements (for example assistance dogs or touch tours) and for wheelchairs that are larger than the dimensions below, please contact Box Office to book your tickets.
Please note that Box Office may contact you regarding your access requirements if they need further clarification from the information submitted in your form.

How to book for your access requirements online

If you’re a wheelchair user whose wheelchair is maximum 90cm(w) x 110cm(d) x 120cm(h) and you would like to remain in your wheelchair during the performance, follow the steps below to book a wheelchair space online. Please note that depth includes treads on your wheelchair and the height includes the headrest:
1) Tick the ‘I am a wheelchair user whose wheelchair is maximum 90cm(w) x 110cm(d) x 120cm(h) and I stay in my wheelchair’ option in the access form above, fill in your details, and press submit (or log in to your account if you’ve previously entered this information).
2) Head to the show you’d like to book, click ‘Book Now’ and choose a performance.
3) When the seatmap comes up, you can find wheelchair spaces in row M and they’re indicated by a wheelchair icon. Click on this icon to book the space. (If no wheelchair icons are showing up on row M, then they are fully booked for that performance so try another date or contact Box Office).
All wheelchair spaces are suitable for viewing caption boxes and BSL interpreters.
Seats next to wheelchair spaces are marked with an E and are only available to those booking a wheelchair space. These seats are for essential companions that are seated with a wheelchair user. See the section below for more information on how to book for an essential companion.
If you have any difficulties updating your account or booking a wheelchair space, please contact Box Office who can assist you. If you have a wheelchair that is bigger than the dimensions listed above, please contact Box Office who can advise you on where to book.

If you’re a wheelchair user who would like to transfer from your wheelchair to a theatre seat, follow the steps below to book your seat online:
1) Tick the ‘I transfer from my wheelchair to theatre seats’ option in the access form above, fill in your details, and press submit (or log in to your account if you’ve previously entered this information).
2) Head to the show you’d like to book, click ‘Book Now’ and choose a performance.
3) When the seatmap comes up, choose a seat on row M. By updating your account, you will now have access to more seats in row M – some of these will be marked by an L or an E and some will have a wheelchair icon. These indicate seats held off sale for most customers and are only available to those who require level access, a space for their wheelchair or an essential companion seated with a wheelchair user. For a wheelchair transfer you can choose any seat on row M. If there are no seats available on row M, try a different performance or contact Box Office.
If you require a seat that is not on row M, please contact Box Office who can advise you.
If you change your mind after your booking and decide you would like to remain in your wheelchair for the performance, please contact Box Office as soon as possible, as we may not be able to accommodate this change on the day of the performance.
If you have any difficulties updating your account or booking a transfer from a wheelchair to theatre seats, please contact Box Office who can assist you. If you have a wheelchair that is bigger than the dimensions listed above, please contact Box Office who can advise you on where to book.

If you have any difficulties updating your account or booking a seat with step-free access, please contact Box Office who can advise you.
