What is the National Theatre’s Nationwide Young Technicians Programme?

The Young Technicians programme is a nationwide development programme for those aged 13-19, run by National Theatre in collaboration with HOME Manchester, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Nottingham Playhouse, and forms part of the Connections Programme.

The programme is an opportunity for those interested in the lighting, sound, video – the technical side of theatre, to get involved and develop their skills, through online regular workshops with industry professionals, accumulating in an in person training weekend here at Nottingham Playhouse. Participants may also have the opportunity to shadow on other Nottingham Playhouse projects, such as Connections Festival, subject to availability.
