Each year the National Theatre commissions ten new plays for young people to perform, bringing together some of the UK’s most exciting writers with the performers of tomorrow.

Auditions for the Nottingham Playhouse Connections Company are now closed. We expect applications to reopen in Autumn 2026.

Are you an actor aged 13-19 and interested in being part of the Nottingham Playhouse’s own Connections Company for 2026?

Nottingham Playhouse also have their very own Connections Company who perform as a part of the National Theatre Connections Festival at Nottingham Playhouse. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings, occasional Saturdays and during the second week of the Easter holidays. There is no fee to be part of this company, but places are subject to auditions and commitment to rehearsals is essential.
