Develop your dancing skills and contribute to a group performance
What will I learn during the autumn course?
Dance Performance classes focus on taught exercises and repertory, as well as creative and improvised elements, designed to keep bodies and minds active and engaged.
You’ll look at technique to develop mobility, strength and wellbeing. Jo, our course leader, is skilled at using the group members’ interests and ideas to form a creative stimulus and devise a performance together.
Who is the course for?
People with some previous dance experience who want to explore creating a performance collaboratively, develop skill in improvisation and generate movement ideas.
We believe that theatre should be for everyone and always ensure our building and sessions are accessible to all participants, removing any barriers to participation. Find out more about Access at Nottingham Playhouse here and please tell us if there is anything further we can do to ensure our sessions are accessible for you. You can get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What do I need to bring?
You just need to bring comfortable clothing to move in, water and your imagination.
Can I try it first?
Yes, we offer a taster session for those who would like to try before they buy (subject to availability). You can book for a taster session by emailing email@example.com and one of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.
When attending in person, we want you to feel confident that you’ll have a great time and by following the guidelines, everyone – participants and our team alike – can enjoy fantastic theatre experiences together again.
