Spring 2025 will be able to book on Tuesday 3 Dec at 10am.
What will I learn?
Dance Performance classes focus on taught exercises and repertory, as well as creative and improvised elements, designed to keep bodies and minds active and engaged. You’ll look at technique to develop mobility, strength and wellbeing. Jo, our course leader, is skilled at using the group members’ interests and ideas to form a creative stimulus and devise a performance together.
Who is the course for?
People with some previous dance experience who want to explore creating a performance collaboratively, develop skill in improvisation and generate movement ideas.
What do I need to bring?
Please wear clothing and footwear you are comfortable moving around in. We also recommend bringing a bottle of water.
Can I try it first?
Yes, we offer a taster session for those who would like to try before they buy (subject to availability). You can register your interest for a taster session by emailing participation@nottinghamplayhouse.co.uk and you will receive an email once places are available for booking.
We believe that theatre should be for everyone and always ensure our building and sessions are accessible to all participants, removing any barriers to participation. Find out more about Access at Nottingham Playhouse here and please tell us if there is anything further we can do to ensure our sessions are accessible for you. You can get in touch at participation@nottinghamplayhouse.co.uk.
