Songbook For Us participants work with theatre professionals to inspire a brand new musical about the lives of people with physical disabilities in Nottingham and the East Midlands.
As part of Songbook, participants receive training in writing and performing musical theatre, tailored to participants’ experiences, with opportunities to perform to the public. They look at a variety of musical genres and styles and work together to create new songs, scenes and characters that amplify disability voices in the East Midlands.
