Seasonal Welcome Team

Application Closing Date: 12 Sep 2022

We’re looking for friendly and confident people from all communities in our city to join our team of Audience Assistants for our busy Christmas period and help us welcome audiences. If you love helping, talking to people and making them smile, we’d love to hear from you.

Nottingham Playhouse welcomes over 120,000 visitors to our theatre every year and it’s our Welcome Team members that make sure all our audience members and visitors have an enjoyable and memorable experience.

As a Welcome Team Audience Assistant, you’ll be welcoming audiences into our theatre, helping to manage audience safety from the moment visitors arrive, throughout the live performance and in the event of an emergency. You’ll also support those who may want additional help to access all our services and facilities, as well as selling drinks, programmes and ice creams using point of sale systems. Most importantly, you’ll provide a calm, efficient and reassuring service.

Positions will be offered as a fixed term (17 October 2022 – 14 January 2023) zero-hours contract within a monthly rota. You’ll need to be available for weekday daytime work as well as having good availability for evening, bank holiday and weekend work when our performances take place.
