We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in sound, lighting, video or general stage craft to assist our Technical departments whilst gaining knowledge and experience in live events.
Our Apprentice Technicians play a key part in realising Nottingham Playhouse productions including main-stage productions, studio productions, co-productions, touring and Participation productions. They help ensure the technical and production teams deliver the highest standards of support to enable the creative process, working closely with creative teams to achieve their vision to the highest artistic and technical standards.
This post will provide quality training leading to a nationally recognised Level 3 Creative Venue Technician Apprenticeship qualification. Nottingham Playhouse can provide unrivalled experience in across all disciplines in a fully producing theatre. As part of your training, you will also gain the ABTT Bronze award which is recognised across the industry.
The role will suit someone with a keen interest in sound, lighting, video or general stage craft. You will be given the opportunity to develop these skills in a producing theatre, with 80% of your time working with our team of skilled professionals and 20% of your time spent on college learning and course work. We want to enable committed, enthusiastic and practically minded individuals a vibrant start in a technical theatre and live events.
