In a future when air has become unbreathable, three adult Defendants fight to clear their names. Called to account as the generation responsible for the crisis that’s unfolding, they are being judged by a Jury of twelve teenagers – those paying the price for the actions of their elders. With their own futures hanging in the balance, are they seeking justice – or revenge?
The Trials is an exciting upcoming Main Stage community production at Nottingham Playhouse and Mansfield Palace Theatre, in partnership with Donmar Warehouse, featuring a young community cast.
This pre-casting workshop will focus on the themes featured in the show. You will take part in practical activities and discussions around climate activism and justice through the medium of theatre. This workshop is suited to young people who enjoy theatre and are interested in the environment and climate change, and people who would like to go on to one of the casting workshops to audition to be in the show.
