Beyond the land of the living, four souls find themselves trapped in a tavern somewhere between death and wherever we go next. Through dreams and songs they seek to remember who they were when they were alive. Forming the house band of the tavern, they begin to practice their songs, believing the perfect performance will set them free.
But when another soul arrives their carefully crafted songs are thrown into chaos, leaving them asking, who was I really? Through original folk music, playful humour and storytelling, this story explores our dominion over the natural world and what it means to be sorry for our mistakes.
The Daywalkers Collective is an Actor-Musician theatre company with members from the East-Midlands, Hong Kong and Cornwall. Our aim is to create high quality, original folk music and theatre that entertains our audience whilst also raising awareness to the issues our shows revolve around. We have been working on The Snare & Feral for the past year and a half, previously showcasing the music and hosting folk nights. However, Amplify Festival is the shows debut as an onstage theatre piece and we are so excited to be sharing it!
Tickets are offered at subsidised or full price to all audience members. There are no ‘qualifying criteria’ for a subsidised place. If you can afford a full price ticket, please buy one, as this will support Amplify in continuing to offer free and subsidised development opportunities for artists across the Midlands region.
