Nottingham Global Roots Festival is back for another year, this time celebrating music from Jamaica and West Africa!

Headlining this year’s showcase is British Jamaican Reggae legend Lloyd Brown & The Riddimworks Band. Internationally known for his hit songs, such as ‘Main squeeze’ and ‘Sharing the night’, this concert will be celebrating Lloyd’s 40th year anniversary in the music industry.

Lloyd is very much looking forward to entertaining the Nottingham Global Roots audience, as he delves into his expansive body of quality reggae music.

Joining the line-up also is Senegalese Baye Fall artist and band, Batch Gueye Band. Batch’s singing in Wolof is described as soulful, and his dance style is vibrant.

Opening the showcase, is Nottingham’s very own performance group, Kaira Kafo, featuring an exciting fusion of music and dance inspired by West Africa.
