Nottingham Playhouse are holding open auditions for performers (age 18+) who have trained or worked professionally and were either born, raised or are currently living in the Midlands.

These auditions are not for a specific project; they are an opportunity to expand our casting pool of local performers for future projects.

Auditions will take place in person at Nottingham Playhouse with Artistic Directors Jesse Jones, Angharad Jones and Adam Penford and Artist Development Producer Beccy D’Souza and will consist of a short chat and the performance of a two minute monologue of the performer’s choice. Unfortunately there won’t be time to perform the monologue more than once to allow us to see as many actors as possible.

Who Can Apply?

We are looking for performers who have trained or worked professionally*. You must be over 18 and either born, raised or currently living in the Midlands. We actively encourage applications from a diverse range of backgrounds.
*A professional performer is someone who has worked as a performer with a professional creative team on a show, paid or unpaid, for a minimum of a one week run.
