Spare Goose by Danica Corns
When Isabelle unexpectedly barges into Kate’s toilet cubicle and refuses to leave, Kate wants answers. Answers Isabelle isn’t ready to give. But with a final bridal fitting to get to, Kate must step into her best friend’s shoes to get her to open up before she misses the appointment and disappoints her perfectionist mother.
As secrets are revealed and lies are uncovered, there’s an air that things are not the same. People change. People grow. People move on. And so do friendships. Don’t they?
The development of Spare Goose is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

F*ck You, Claire by Sugar Theatre
“EVERYONE has their sh*t. We are all just silly little human beings doing our best one day at a time”.
Penelope is 24 years old. She spends most of her life in her tiny bedroom and fears pretty much everything. As existential anxieties begin to mount, functioning as an adult human being starts to seem impossible – particularly with the introduction of her unwanted, fiendish new roommate: Claire.
F*ck You, Claire is the story of Penelope’s fight with her many hang-ups, as she begins a tumultuous yet insightful journey towards self-acceptance. Climb aboard this rollercoaster of mid-twenties confusion – confronting inner demons and irrational hat fixations along the way. This show challenges you to seek out the beauty within the chaos, uncover the pockets of sunshine and rediscover the forgotten gems amidst the dirty clothes pile.
Triggers and advisories: Deals with topics such as depression, anxiety and OCD.
Sugar Theatre was founded in 2019 when founders (Rosie and Jack) graduated from their drama degree. Their aim is to always work from the heart, creating performance inspired by our own stories. Their process is very experimental and very messy: they laugh, they cry, they play, they dance, they throw everything they’ve got at the wall and see what sticks. They want our audiences to feel a sense of them in the rehearsal room (their ultimate happy place) when they share their work. It’s aaaall about the process!
“We have LOTS of feelings and we think you may feel some of them too…”
Their debut show ‘Scruffy’ toured the UK in 2023, stopping off at Camden & Brighton Fringe along the way. After putting things on pause for a little while, Sugar is back in action with fresh new writing, ready to play with new audiences and continue our journey.
