Drawing on the framework of her movement workshop programme, CircularDynamics, Kim Bormann will be developing characters, preparing and anchoring movement exploration directly in the body, relating to the cardinal directions, colours, seasons, sounds, mood and emotion.

Kim is a German-Chinese movement artist, teacher, facilitator and performer living in the UK. She has worked professionally with Jasmin Vardimon Company, Beautiful Creatures Theatre, Chiara Dellerba, Kerryn Wise, Jorge Crescis. In 2017, she produced, created and performed “Layer Three” at Nottingham Contemporary and is currently working with purple theatre and 1623 theatre company.
Kim’s practice is underpinned by Daoist philosophy, rooted in contemporary dance, inspired by movement itself, seeking a personal movement language, continuing to develop LifeDance/CircularDynamics, exploring the idea of ‘The Thinking Body’; the human self and its relationship to the world, with playfulness, lightness and freedom.
