Are you a musician or singer between 13 and 19 years of age and keen to be part of this year's National Theatre Connections Festival at Nottingham Playhouse?

As part of the National Theatre Connections Festival this year, we are also hosting an Open Mic slot for young people between 13-19 years of age to play or sing a couple of songs in Nottingham Playhouse’s Company bar. This is a new aspect of the Festival and is a free of charge, unique chance perform in front of friends, family and the Connections companies taking part that day.

Anybody between the ages of 13-19 years of age may apply, you do not need to be a part of the festival already. We welcome new people to the festival as we want as many young people as possible to enjoy and feel part of this whole-building takeover, working with professionals from the National Theatre and Nottingham Playhouse.

This audition-based opportunity will take place on Saturday 19 April at 4:00pm (with set up from 3:30pm) and performers would need to bring their instruments/ backing tracks with them. To apply, please fill out this application form, uploading a rehearsal of your proposed song(s). The deadline for submissions is Friday 22 March and we will let people know if they have been offered a slot by Friday 28 March.
