In this full day workshop for professional artists and theatre-makers participants will explore a range of devising tools and techniques and develop an understanding of working from – and with – the body. Drawing from practices from the Complicité rehearsal room, and from Complicité’s trademark spirit of playfulness, curiosity and risk taking, the workshop will culminate in the creation of short devised group pieces that celebrate the collaborative efforts and expertise of the artist participants.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Meghan Treadway is unable to facilitate tomorrow’s workshop. The workshop will now be led by Complicité Associate Artist Jack Harrold.

Jack is an actor and director who trained in Collaborative and Devised Theatre at Central School of Speech and Drama. He is experienced as both a facilitator and performer with Complicité, and worked on and appeared in their studio season show Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit and in recent documentary Complicité Does A Level Drama.

Tickets are offered at subsidised or full price, to all professional artists with a connection to the Midlands / East Midlands.  If you can afford a full price ticket, please buy one, as this will support subsidised tickets / bursary places for future workshops for other artists. There are no ‘qualifying criteria’ for a subsidised place.

Please bring water, food for during the break, and comfortable clothes for movement work.
