Monday 13 May – Dinosaurs vs Vampires
Featuring Freddie Hayes (Creator of Potatohead & “the most perfect clown” – Everything Theatre) & Dan Webber (Genrefluid), Club Wormhole continues to bring the greatest alternative comedy acts in the country to perform alongside Nottingham’s oddest and most wonderful comics – The Club Wormhole Gang.
The theme this month is Dinosaurs vs Vampires, exploring the questions on everyone’s minds – who will be the victor? Why do they need to fight anyway? Why can’t we all just get along? Expect high stakes and low production values as we combine “silliness and satire by the sackful” (Leftlion), with hosts Katie Mitchell & Jamie Drew, a theatrical presentation by the Clowns Lee Kennedy and Laurie Owen, comic stylings of Ben Macpherson and musical accompaniment by our maestro Sam Marshall!
Following a string of sell-out shows in the city & our trip to Leicester Comedy Festival, Nottingham’s Alternative Comedy Cabaret are delighted to bring the weird and wonderful Wormhole world of comedy to where we belonged all along – the theatre!
Monday 3 June – Carry on Up the Wormhole
Featuring 2023 BBC New Comedy Award Winner; Joe Kent-Walters as Frankie Monroe, working class alt comics Woodward & Saul Henry, Club Wormhole continues to bring the greatest alternative comedy acts in the country to perform alongside Nottingham’s oddest and most wonderful comics – The Club Wormhole Gang.
Alongside our usual alt comedy cabaret, which combines “silliness and satire by the sackful” (Leftlion), The Club Wormhole Gang will be Carrying On Up The Wormhole with an original farce, lovingly updating and subverting the classic British franchise in our alternative comedy style.
