Applications close Wed 10 Jul at 12 noon. Workshop takes place Tue 16 Jul, 6.30pm-8.30pm.

This is an opportunity to work on an audition speech with our Artistic Director and Casting Director Arthur Carrington, in front of the group. It is open to all Amplify members, regardless of training or experience.

Priority will be given to those who wish to attend with an audition piece rather than as an observer – if all applicants wish to present an audition piece, we may prioritise artists who have not been seen by Nottingham Playhouse before.

You will need to prepare a speech in advance, either classical or modern, to perform and receive feedback on. Monologues should be no more than 3 minutes long. You will need to bring a copy of your speech with you.

We will do our very best to allow time for everyone to perform but cannot guarantee it if there’s high demand.

It is likely we will be able to see between 12 and 15 monologues; there will be an additional 10 observer places available – to a maximum of 25 places.

If you would prefer to observe, rather than perform, please indicate this when you apply.

There will be a 30 minute Q&A session at the end, where all participants are welcome, and encouraged, to ask questions.
