Opportunity to be part of programming AMPLIFY: SEASONS at Nottingham Playhouse

What is Amplify?

The Amplify programme is here to support local professional theatre artists. We know that the Midlands – both East and West, is full of talented theatre-makers and we want Nottingham Playhouse to be a hub for artists, whether fresh out of education, early career, or making professional work for several years. We are committed to developing a network where ideas can be shared, challenged and grown. Throughout the year, we create opportunities and host events to help professional artists develop skills, showcase work and connect with other artists. These include AMPLIFY: SEASONS, networking events, masterclasses, co-working opportunities and one to one mentoring and guidance sessions.

About Amplify Membership

Artists who join Amplify become part of a network of artists connected to Nottingham Playhouse who live in or come from the Midlands (East or West). This comes with access to an artists forum, exclusive events and workshops, ticket offers, one to one advice and guidance and much more.

AMPLIFY: SEASONS

AMPLIFY: SEASONS promises to provide showcase opportunities for Midlands artists throughout the year, giving artists a chance to connect with and receive feedback from audiences and industry on their work at various stages of development.

SEASONS nights will take place four times a year, and each night will include two ticketed events – one double or triple bill of work in progress / scratch performances, and one ‘headline’ show – either a complete work, or a work in later stage of development.

We are looking for members of Nottingham Playhouse’ Creative Community to assist with the programming decisions for SEASONS.

This means you will:

  • Be part of a team of people looking at applications from artists
  • Work alongside Artist Development Producer Beccy D’Souza to make decisions about what the SEASONS programme will look like
  • Learn about (and feed into) what goes into making programming decisions
  • Be credited in SEASONS marketing / literature

You don’t need prior experience of programming.  You do need to have been to Nottingham Playhouse to see a show before.

Our first SEASONS programming session will take place on Tuesday 15th April from 3-6pm in Company One.

Please book on to the session online via this link or via box office.

If you have applied to SEASONS or are involved in any of the shows which are awaiting a programming decision, please contact Beccy prior to booking into a session to discuss.  Any further questions please email beccy.dsouza.01@nottinghamplayhouse.co.uk
