Amplify at Nottingham Playhouse is an ever evolving Artist Development programme supporting new, emerging and established theatre artists in the wider Midlands region. We are keen to connect with Deaf Artists in the region, to have a conversation about what provision already exists within Amplify, what is working and what is not, and what else we can do to support you and your artistic practice, whilst also creating an opportunity for Deaf artists to come together.
This is a first for Nottingham Playhouse and we hope to host future Amplify Access Assemblies, to connect with and support other Deaf and disabled artists in the region over the next year.
The event will consist of:
- An introduction to Amplify from Artist Development Producer Beccy D’Souza
- Q&A about artist development
- “Spotlight On” opportunity for attendees to perform or share about themselves, to talk about what they are doing or what they are looking for (please contact beccy.dsouza.01@nottinghamplayhouse.co.uk if you have something you would like to say).
- Networking time to talk to other artists and to Beccy
This event will be BSL interpreted.
