Stretch your creative wings and fly with artist Sarah Manton, as she guides you through a wide variety of creative techniques in paper, textiles, ink, paint and collage.
During your explorations, you will use the techniques you have learned to fire your imagination and develop your own unique artworks and hand-crafted pieces.
What will I learn during the autumn course?
You will try your hand at a wide variety of crafts that until now, you may not have previously considered, and could quite possibly become your new addiction!
Each week offers a new challenge in paper, textiles, metal, yarn, plastics and more, with all materials, tools and tuition included. You simply need to arrive with a willingness to try something new and will leave with a unique object created by your own fair hands. Occasionally, projects will run across two sessions where there is an enthusiasm by the group to concentrate further on a particular technique or extend your knowledge.
Who is the course for?
The course is suitable whether you are a complete beginner or much more experienced. There really is something for everyone within the individual sessions and the emphasis is on encouraging creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment.
We believe that theatre should be for everyone and always ensure our building and sessions are accessible to all participants, removing any barriers to participation. Find out more about Access at Nottingham Playhouse here and please tell us if there is anything further we can do to ensure our sessions are accessible for you. You can get in touch at email@example.com.
What do I need to bring?
We will provide all materials and resources.
Are there any additional costs?
No additional costs, everything is included in the course fee.
Can I try it first?
Yes, we offer a taster session for those who would like to try before they buy (subject to availability). You can book for a taster session by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.
